Dr. Daniel Baker ABOS Diplomat

Dr. Dan Baker is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.  Dr. Baker received his undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota receiving a BS in Bio-Chemisty.  Dr. Baker received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School.  Following medical school, Dr. Baker completed his medical internship training in the Department of General Surgery, University of Minnesota Medical School and his residency training in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Minnesota Medical School. Upon completing his medical education and training Dr. Baker joined Northern Pines Orthopaedic Clinic in Grand Rapids, MN where he continues to practice.  Dr. Baker brings his knowledge of the latest and most advanced minimally invasive orthopaedic techniques.    He is experienced in shoulder repairs and hip and knee replacements as well as minimally invasive ankle surgeries.  Dr. Baker is also enthusiastic about women’s sports medicine and hockey, which led him to be an assistant team doctor for the Women’s Golden Gopher Hockey Team while in orthopaedic residency training.  While in medical school and residency, Dr. Baker had the opportunity to work alongside Dr. Dan Buss, the Orthopaedic Surgeon to the Minnesota Twins, to gain valuable training in regards to rotator cuff injuries and repairs.

Dr. Baker is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Minnesota Medical Association.

Jeff Temple, CFNP-OPA

Jeff Temple, CFNP-OPA, is a Board Certified nurse practitioner and has advanced training an experience in sports medicine and general orthopaedics.  After his honorable discharge from the U. S. Air Force in 1985, he went on to become a surgical technologist the following year.  Graduating from the University of North Dakota with honors in 1995, he became an Orthopaedic Physician’s Assistant in 1999 and received his Master’s degree from the University of Mary in 2001.  He is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and of the American Society of Orthopaedic Physician Assistants.  He has previously worked with the Bone & Joint Center of Excellence in North Dakota.Jeff-Temple

Jeff has been instrumental in organizing the Sports Medicine Journal Club Roundtables for physicians, coaches, physical and occupational therapists and other medical providers.  He also gives free educational talks to athletes, seniors and other interested community members.  Arrangements can be made for further presentations.
