Orthopaedics is no longer just about trauma and broken bones. Orthopaedics is divided into a number of individually complex and technically demanding sub-specialties. Healthcare professionals caring for orthopaedic patients must keep abreast of the latest advances in diagnostic techniques and treatment modalities.
Jeff Temple, CFNP-OPA, shared the latest advances in orthopaedic care, reviewing the essential components of a complete orthopaedic evaluation at lecture series in St. Louis, MO, Columbia, MO and Lenexa, KS. Attendees of the lecture learned important tips and techniques for both adult and pediatric fracture care, orthopaedic trauma, sports medicine and treatment for degenerative joint disorders.
“Orthopaedics is a challenging, yet enticing, area of nursing,” remarked Mr. Temple. The objective of this lecture series was to help the attendees have confidence in the identification and management of various orthopaedic problems. Jeff helped accomplish this goal by sharing his knowledge through engaging discussion and humor. Following this lecture series, attendees left with new knowledge and skills they could apply with confidence to improve quality in patient care.
Jeff has had the opportunity to lecture nationally and locally. Locally, Mr. Temple has lectured with various clubs, organizations, schools and recently the Chamber of Commerce on “Ergonomics in the Workplace”. Other topics that he has lectured on include: sports medicine, osteoarthritis, total joint replacement and carpal tunnel. Besides his love for continuing education, he works with an experienced staff at Northern Pines Orthopaedic Clinic to offer a walk-in emergency clinic for anyone with a new orthopaedic injury or fracture on a daily basis Monday thru Friday 8 am – 5 pm.
If an organization or program would like to arrange for a free educational program please contact Jeff Temple at Northern Pines Orthopaedic Clinic, 218-326-6677.
